P Luckily for everyone, Apple did promptly fix that issue in the very next developer build. If you're hot on the idea of an external capture card, Elgato is delivering a few extras on top of the HD60 S+ package for roughly the same price at MSRP with the HD60 X-perhaps a little more cash in practice as the HD60 S+ is often found going for cheaper today. So the flexibility of how you wish to set up your streaming setup is something to weigh up before hitting purchase on an external unit like this HD60 X. Ultimately, a PCIe add-in capture card tends to get you more bang for your buck at 4K, and comes with heaps of benefits in other ways to make up for its lack of portability. You also lose the option to easily travel around with your capture card, though let's be honest I can't imagine that's of massive importance for many. Some of the flexibility is removed when you ditch the external connection from your capture card: Not only will you have to make space inside your PC, but you're removing the ability to run your stream or recording off a laptop close-by. Though only a few of these 4K cards are standalone units, most being PCIe add-in when you get down to near the price of the HD60 X. Elgato's own 4K capture cards, the 4K60 Pro and 4K60 S+, can sometimes be found for less cash, and Avermedia offers some cards with equally high-end capabilities for quite a bit less. However, as a purely 1080p card, it doesn't feel a massive improvement over the HD60 S+ or similar units today.Ībove: 1080p60 gameplay from Destiny 2 captured on the Elgato HD60 X.Īs a 4K capture card, there are significantly more capable options available, too-those that are more adept at 4K, for a premium price. All things that take some of the hassle out of game capture while streaming. You can also both stream and record with a single device, using both OBS and Elgato's 4K Capture Utility in tandem, with its Stream Link feature. The 1080p capture it produces is always crisp, the VRR support is a plus, and there's no lag in the passthrough to speak of. Though at least purely as a 1080p capture card, it's easy to use. So the HD60 X is much more a 1080p capture card than a 4K one. The HD60 X is much more a 1080p capture card than a 4K one. It definitely isn't altogether that simple in practice. There's a pretty in-depth look at input resolution and capture resolution here, and it's not altogether as simple as I'd hoped. Elgato tells me that its 4K/30fps capture mode is primarily for webcams, which might explain why it's not quite so well suited to actually pulling a high-res recording off your PC. However, it also tells me it is working on a proper fix "asap".Īnother issue I ran into was when I was trying to capture at 4K at 30fps. with some subsampling) for the time being, which has fixed the issue. It seems it may have something to do with Extended Display Identification Data (EDID) and a 1080p downscaler that is used when a monitor is not seen to be 4K ready by the device. After a great deal of fiddling with the device, my monitor, and switching cables (and even PCs), I reached out to Elgato (or rather its owners Corsair) for help and a short while later it was discovered to be a firmware issue. I found my 4K screen was running at 1080p at 60fps over the Elgato HD60 X instead. Occasionally when multiplying the apple it will change colour to be slightly more yellow. There are a lot of scratchy plastics about the place, but taken together with the large physical climate-control switches and other buttons, the E-Scudo feels built to last. What’s more, there’s plenty of cabin space up front, with decent headroom, although the middle passengers’s legroom is hampered by the large central pod that houses the gear and driving-mode selectors. Thankfully, visibility in the E-Scudo is pretty good as-is, thanks to a large windscreen and side mirrors, and it’s easy to manoeuvre, even in tight streets and parking spaces. The larger van’s digital rear-view mirror hasn’t made its way down to the E-Scudo, either. The simplicity of the setup makes it easy to read on the move, but the larger, diesel Ducato gets a fully digital driver’s display and large central touchscreen, which are overall more impressive to use. Behind the wheel is a set of analogue dials, with the rev counter replaced by an energy gauge for the electric powertrain. Save for the badges on the steering wheel and front grille, the E-Scudo is identical to its Citroen, Peugeot, Toyota and Vauxhall counterparts. The E-Scudo does, however, come in crew cab and platform chassis forms, too, while a people-carrier version called the Fiat e-Ulysse is currently being considered for a 2023 UK launch. While there are two wheelbases and body lengths available, there's no variation in roof height as you might expect. Regardless of your battery choice, you get a 134bhp electric motor powering the front wheels, which is enough to get up to the E-Scudo’s motorway-friendly top speed of 80mph with ease, even in ‘Normal’ mode. That means you get a choice of a 50 or 75kWh battery, for ranges of 141 and 202 miles respectively. It draws on the technology available to Fiat now that it’s part of the Stellantis Group, and so features the same platform and powertrain as the Vauxhall Vivaro-e, Citroen e-Dispatch, Peugeot e-Expert and Toyota Proace Electric – which were jointly crowned Best Medium Electric Van in the 2 022 DrivingElectric Awards. Now, the brand is turning its attention to the medium-sized van part of the LCV market with this new E-Scudo. Fiat’s first electric van was the E-Ducato, which arrived in 2021 and is set to rival the forthcoming Ford E-Transit. This molecule is concentrated in the lung cells but is also present on certain cells that line blood vessels in the body. The SARS-CoV-2 virus attaches to a specific molecule (called a receptor) on the surface of cells in the body. Bleeding in the brain, weakened blood vessels, and blood clots in acute infection These disorders of inflammation in the nervous system include Guillain-Barré syndrome (which affects nerves), transverse myelitis (which affects the spinal cord), and acute necrotizing leukoencephalopathy (which affects the brain). There are also very rare reports of conditions that develop after SARS-CoV-2 infection, as they sometimes do with other types of infections. Muscular weakness, nerve injury, and pain syndromes are common in people who require intensive care during infections. Although rare, COVID-19 can cause seizures or major strokes. Some people with COVID-19 either initially have, or develop in the hospital, a dramatic state of confusion called delirium. However, most individuals hospitalized due to the virus do have symptoms related to the brain or nervous system, most commonly including muscle aches, headaches, dizziness, and altered taste and smell. Most people infected with SARS-CoV-2 virus will have no or mild to moderate symptoms associated with the brain or nervous system. What are the immediate (acute) effects of SARS-CoV-2 and COVID-19 on the brain? It is unknown if injury to the nervous system or other body organs cause lingering effects that will resolve over time, or whether COVID-19 infection sets up a more persistent or even chronic disorder. Research is just beginning to focus on the role of autoimmune reactions and other changes that cause the set of symptoms that some people experience after their initial recovery. Scientists are still learning how the virus affects the brain and other organs in the long-term. Although still under intense investigation, there is no evidence of widespread viral infection in the brain. This includes the presence of antibodies-proteins made by the immune system to fight the virus-that may also react with the nervous system. Changes in the immune system have been seen in studies of the cerebrospinal fluid, which bathes the brain, in people who have been infected by SARS-CoV-2. In some people, the SARS-CoV-2 infection causes an overreactive response of the immune system which can also damage body systems. Research shows the many neurological symptoms of COVID-19 are likely a result of the body’s widespread immune response to infection rather than the virus directly infecting the brain or nervous system. These strategies have included preventing infection with vaccines, treating COVID-19 symptoms with medicines or antibodies, and reducing complications in infected individuals. Much of the research to date has focused on the acute infection and saving lives. What do we know about the effects of SARS-CoV-2 and COVID-19 on the nervous system? When severe, this impairs the body’s ability to maintain critical levels of oxygen in the blood stream-which can cause multiple body systems to fail and can be fatal. It is most dangerous when the virus spreads from the upper respiratory tract into the lungs to cause viral pneumonia and lung damage leading to Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS). However, a new coronavirus called Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) emerged and spread to cause the COVID-19 pandemic.ĬOVID-19, which means Coronavirus disease 2019, is an infectious disease that can affect people of all ages in many ways. The final results could mark the birth of a brand new PlayStation icon for the next-generation. Their support and interactions have really inspired us to make Kena the best experience possible. With a release date of August 24 confirmed, Ember Labs is in the home run of development for Kena: Bridge of Spirits, and while that final stretch is often the most challenging, the Griers tell me that the support the studio has received so far has only motivated its efforts: "It's very rewarding that the community appreciates the hard work and dedication of our team. With over 100 of the little guys to collect, the PS5 version of the game will "be able to show each of those little guys on the screen all at the same time", including the ones you've customised with collectable cosmetics. In combination with the haptic feedback, the player has an immersive experience drawing a bow."īetter yet, those playing on PS5 will be able to enjoy even more of the Rot at once. When Kena draws her bow, players can feel the resistance in the triggers as the wood bends and strains under pressure. This mechanic takes full advantage of the DualSense adaptive triggers. "As a spirit guide, Kena can transform her staff into a bow. According to the Griers, Sony's new console has allowed the studio to "build dense, lush environments", as well as add new layers of interaction to Kena's combat mechanics. Between two worldsĪs a console exclusive to PlayStation platforms, Ember Labs is also hoping to make use of the PS5's next-generation features to make Kena feel and play as good as it looks. Its combat promises a deep, rewarding experience, challenging enough to knock us off our feet if we're not paying attention, yet compelling enough to keep us coming back after every defeat. It's easy to worry whether an experience as cinematically textured as Kena might be more focused on quick-time events than moment-to-moment gameplay, then, but that's not the case for Ember Labs' PS5 debut. In addition to expanding her army of Rot, Kena will be able to strengthen and upgrade her own combat skills and equipment – such as the energy bow, seen in the game's trailers – to conquer the various corruptions found throughout the campaign. Players will have to find a balance between delivering a strong blow or taking the opportunity to heal." Additionally, healing in combat is tied to using the Rot. Working with the Rot, players will discover enemy weaknesses. Finding and growing a larger Rot team enables more powerful attacks and unlocks additional upgrades. "The Rot can swarm attackers, create piercing projectiles, and even form a shape- shifting cloud to pummel enemies. "Kena can infuse any of her abilities with Rot to defeat enemies in unique ways," they explain. It's here in these boss battles, according to the Griers, where Kena's combat gameplay comes into its own. In order to successfully guide lost spirits, Kena will need to defeat manifestations of the corruption holding them back, which take the form of dangerous, animal-like enemies. However, and due to the COVID19 pandemic, Ember Lab delayed it until August 24th.But this enchanting backdrop is not without its perils. The game was originally meant to come out in Holiday 2020.
